مِرْوَد المكحلة

عُرف الكحل محليًا باسم «الجحال»، وتوارثت النساء طرق تحضيره واستخدامه عبر الأجيال. ويُحفظ تقليديًا في المكحلة، ويُستخدم المِرْوَد للاكتحال به. وفي عام 2025، أُدرج الكحل ضمن قائمة اليونسكو للتراث الثقافي غير المادي، لارتباطه بالهوية والثقافة

 MERWAD AL-MAKHALA

Locally known as Al-Jahal, kohl-making techniques and uses have been passed down through generations. Traditionally, kohl is kept in the makhala, and a merwad is used to apply it. In 2025, kohl was inscribed on UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity for its close connection to identity and culture.
